Depends on experience. If you've had a lot of relevant work and need it after 5-10 years, yeah. Absolutely never before 5 years. ~3 max for end or career, lots of diverse and applicable experience.

If at all possible, opt for fewer pages.

How do I determine the likelihood of getting a Top Secret Security clearance? I am qualified for a number of federal jobs but haven’t applied because of an allegation of misconduct at my job five years ago. I have plenty of positive equities since then and evidence of rehabilitation for admission to the bar. I just have no idea how much forgiveness is possible in a TS security clearance.

I was recently approached by a recruiter about a position as a litigation attorney at the DOJ. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any more specific information other than what I would be doing is “generally commercial litigation.” Can anyone share insights on what this may entail? Is it normal for a recruiter to be placing people for these government repositions?

I took a temporary job as an attorney advisor at the SBA this past fall b/c it offered a regular paycheck, and my solo practice was suffering b/c of the pandemic. I like the work.
