2nd year junior attorney applying to new positions in the Southern California area. Every firm that’s called me to interview are smaller firms with salary ranges of 80-90k. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong — I have had multiple people review my resume, cover letters, etc. It seems like it’s a decently hot market, and I’m just out here getting frustrated.

My firm is in SoCal and hiring a litigation associate. Salary would be more than $100k. Billable requirement is 1800 if that helps.

I went to UCI, which is highest ranked school closest to SD and still had trouble entering the market. It’s *incredibly* biased to local candidates or T14. That middle ground where I am is decidedly difficult. Feel free to DM any questions.

Got it. I know in some insurance defense firms, they will pay a little less, but I think that’s quite low. Lmk if you want an intro

What area of law?

$80-$90k sounds okay depending on annual billables - what are the billables?

I’m in SD and it’s kinda market I think

Hi! I am seeking for an advise, anything helps! I applied to Accenture’s entry level analyst program. I applied a few days ago (I know it’s a bit late, but the application is still open thankfully). Yesterday, I joined a resume workshop w/ an Accenture recruiter. She went through my resume and said that I have a strong one! I’ve also set up a coffee chat w/ her next week. Unfortunately, I got an email today from the system, they decided not to move forward :( Should I reach out to her abt this?

So is the fixed amount my gross salary without any other deduction except TDS, or will the organisation contribution to PF be also deducted from the fixed component? Also, will claimable components like LTA, mobile bill reimbursement etc. be in addition to this fixed component or will they be included in it?

Anyone knows the chances of location being changed after receiving the offer and getting tagged to a project?

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.
