Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

Desi folks - question on travelling outside US while you're on L1B visa. I have my valid visa stamp till 2022. Do any of you know if we can travel to India in Dec and come back in Jan? Or is it affected by the Trump executive order that was passed in Jun that said non-immigrant workers can't enter the country till Dec 31? Just wondering if I leave for holidays, will I not be allowed back. Any sort of clarification you might have is helpful. FYI - I was in US before that June ruling came out. Thx
