5 years of FDD experience and I’m officially ready to throw in the towel and take a normal 9-5. It’s been a (relatively) good run. Have not scoped the job market yet.

What’s your POV on the A&M experience on your way out? Did comp live up to the promises?

TAG. CTG is pretty separate I don’t work with them at all.

What’s your salary?

Wont you make close to $300k as a manager at A&M?

Ik this is an older post, are there crazy expectation changes between senior and manager that made you wanna leave? Have heard comp could be around 300K for manager so surprised you didn’t stay for another year or two

Like everywhere hours fluctuate week to week but people work on many deals at a time and aren’t used to that coming from big4. There aren’t ever enough managers to go around so they are always staffed if they are good and put in a lot of hours. High utilization for a very strong manager gets you the 300K

Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. In a way, i do the job so well that i get asked to do more AD projs and guide more projs — but then: wtf does my CD do? They mostly just 👍🏻what i direct n approve

I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

Desi folks - question on travelling outside US while you're on L1B visa. I have my valid visa stamp till 2022. Do any of you know if we can travel to India in Dec and come back in Jan? Or is it affected by the Trump executive order that was passed in Jun that said non-immigrant workers can't enter the country till Dec 31? Just wondering if I leave for holidays, will I not be allowed back. Any sort of clarification you might have is helpful. FYI - I was in US before that June ruling came out. Thx
