I’m excited for my wedding but it’s almost 9 months away and I started planning it over a year ago. However, whenever I’m around friends/family it’s the only thing people want to talk to me about. It’s constant and generally there’s not many updates to give & I’d just rather talk about other things. Do you ever feel like there are rooms you’re locked out of? I’m a black woman, i lateraled to my group a few months ago with minimal onboarding and welcome. A white woman joined recently and everyone has bent over backwards to make her feel welcome and get her integrated into the group. People have invested less in me and it’s going to show in a few years when she’s up for partner and I’m still catching up.

Any thoughts on how do we deal with an incompetent boss who you dont look up to and have no trust that you would ever get credit for the work you would do for him/her? Given that changing the boss is not an option.
