A company has approved my desired compensation which is well above my CCTC. But they are mentioning a lower CTC on the offer letter saying they will update 1 week before joining.
They say they do this so candidates can’t do offer shopping and waste their time and effort and gave 100% assurance. What do I do? Is it okay to accept and is this a common norm nowadays? HR said this is termed as lowball offer and it’s common.
