Hello everyone! I recently pivoted from working in advertising to working at an early-stage fintech startup. I'm looking to speak with business finance leaders who manage corporate cash and credit lines for their companies to learn more about your tools and your approach to cash management. I'll buy you lunch/coffee for your time.
If interested shoot me an email me at kathryn@crescent.app! And thank you!!
Anyone working in Pune?@Stefanini

Maybe there used to be a diffence, but I think that's going away, I think the down-to-earth Dutch don't like the idea of someone asking them for their watch only to tell them the time.
I feel there is often a sense of mistrust, "these people with their high salaries, thinking they know better (which we often do 😇), not taking any responsibility for the end result, etc".
Consulting is a strange thing and the Dutch are well aware of it.
Having worked in consulting in US, I know there is a big hype of Big4 in US. It is because of the brand, confidence of regulators, high billing rate and glamorous life style (traveling, upgrades, lounge accesses, benefits etc.).
I don’t see that’s happening here.
Many people I knew, came to consulting from industry for 2-3 years. They got the brand, skill set, salary bump and went back to industry in 3 years max.
Define prestigious? Dutch culture is a lot about equality so I feel it’s not really in our nature to compare jobs in that way. I will move to the New York in feb, so I will find out if people regard working at Deloitte as prestigious :)
You will enjoy your Rockefeller office. I have spent good amount of time there.
There is a salary difference between industry and consulting in US. I don’t know about Netherlands. Also, people in consulting enjoy many perks on top of their higher salary compared to their industry peers. I believe OP is referring to that.
Yes no salary gap and no miles/hotel points and status either.
