This is exactly why agencies keep losing good talent. If a junior qualifies for OT, they should be protected, not penalized by a technicality around a holiday weekend. Asking lower-paid employees to give up their time off without proper compensation shouldn’t be normalized. Put a senior on it, adjust the timeline, or pay people fairly. “Paying your dues” shouldn’t mean being taken advantage of.
You are a great CD. I love that you care for your junior sincerely props to you, not a lot of people care… i rmb there was a time where I had to work 3 months with no weekends cuz we were on production serval holidays taken away and we asked for make up days my gcd giggled in my face and said you guys worked that hard? I wanted to Kms 😂
I worked 3 months of weekends and when I got the flu and couldn’t work one of them my old CD told me I let everyone down.
Sounds like wage theft in CA but I’m not a employment lawyer. And if it’s not it’s still poor policy.
This stuff just goes on for your whole career. I was just in the ER because I thought I was having a stroke from the constant 100 hr weeks.
Can you make the case they put in 10 hour days Monday - Thursday? Ridiculous situation
If this is in NYS, I would look into the laws, TBH.
