We were forced to take 6 days leave in April (bovenwettelijk) which was kind of a weird move. I don’t think our bonuses are getting cut this year so if it’s my bonus or 6 days leave I’d gladly take the latter.

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

What is the average amount of time to fill a role? How long in advance should a recruiter start working with a hiring manager to get their position posted? I think it depends on the industry but curious to hear if there is a national average and if that number is even realistic given the increased number of roles in the market. I feel inadequate and unsure of how or if to acknowledge the US/Buffalo racist murders and terrorism of this weekend in the workplace.
