A lot of my week now is spent trying to separate urgent requests from things that are just coming from whoever has the most visibility internally. The hard part is both get framed as equally important when they reach strategy. I’m trying to build a cleaner way to push back without sounding rigid. What has actually helped people make those calls without creating constant friction?

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? For example, the question “design a podcasting app for truck drivers.” What types of truck drivers can I select so that I can prioritize a user group to focus on and begin identification of pain points and solutions?
