Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

Just depends where. Product manager in tech can make 300k+ but industry counterparts will be lower, and there is product marketing managers at every large org but those more likely make between 100-175k. I'm sure product marketing managers still make above average comp packages

PM always makes more than PMM, all things held equal. WLB is chiller for PMM, on average.
My experience is in big tech so this only goes for those types of roles, PM’s usually holds overall responsibility for a product without any authority so is fairly high stress, that in itself will mess with your WLB pretty hard as you’re always preparing for the next two big meetings. PMM’s on the other hand usually hold little to no responsibility and usually judged on pretty attainable metrics vs more of a “gut” feeling for PM. If things go south, it’s always the PM’s head regardless of fault.
