When biz dev tells me about an opportunity and starts with “this is actually pretty cool” I feel excited to hear more about said opportunity and confident that it will be very cool indeed.
I recently started a job as an outbound, enterprise BDR.
I have no previous experience with sales, but I did really well at first. In my first two months I was at the top of my sales team, and one of the top performers in the national sales org for dials/arr.
I hit a block, and now I can't seem to get passes at all. My effort hasn't changed. But I can't get meetings scheduled.
Has anyone experienced hitting a block like this? How do you overcome it?
Posted this in the Sneakerheads bowl, but also worth dropping here.

Anybody at Deutsch LA care to provide perspective on the shop? Work/life balance, culture, the people, creative opportunity, etc. Seems there's been a couple comments that experience may vary by account, but no specifics on which ones are good/bad...happy to chat live as well. Thanks in advance!

In the midst of all these layoffs, I'd just like to point out that I've worked for FCB Health for 15 years (now at Area 23 for last 6 years) and in my time here, there has not been a single layoff.
Looking for some perspective: considering covid and it potentially getting worse, if you have a seemingly safe job at a good agency, would you take another job at an also good agency if it got offered to you even though you don’t know quite how their business is going like you do at your current job?
Hi everyone, I’m an internal recruiter with 6 YOE, and a degree in Marketing. I’m wondering if anyone here changed career trajectory after being a recruiter, and where did you end up. I’m trying to figure out my future. I love being a recruiter but I hope to evolve professionally and financially and not sure what type of paths I can go from here.
Oprah for the Win
I recently interviewed for a position and got all the way to the final round. The hiring manager then scheduled a follow up meeting, let me know that I was the candidate they want to place an offer to but that the position was put on hold and asked if I am willing to wait a few months to receive an official offer. I agreed but at the back of my mind I am not sure if she is just stringing me along or if she really is being 100% honest. Thoughts…

I got an offer to work as a commercial real estate agent at Avison Young. My background is in residential sales. I’m wondering how complex working in commercial sales is.
1- Am I responsible for generating leads and networking just like residential?
2- Are there growth opportunities in this field; like is there a corporate ladder in this path to look forward to?

You get hired by a law firm and you find out you hate it. As in, every morning drive to work is misery and you spend your days doing the bare minimum to not get in trouble while counting the minutes until you get to go home. Do you REALLY need to stay at least two years, or are you allowed to have one job hopping blemish on your resume?
