That seems super reasonable in this economy….
Yeah I agree. People today tend to be unrealistic, the comment “I’d never consider a payment over xxx”…. The younger generation, “well you wouldn’t own a house then..”
305k is nice. Wish I owed 305k on my house lol
Probably didn't type that the clearest, we make 305k and our monthly payment is 5.8k
Yeah - I’m at about $350k a year and pay about $6.8k a month. Felt steep at first, but we’ve settled in and make it work.
Blessings to you!
Doing $7.3k on a $280k HHI here if that makes you feel any better.
VP1 I generally agree, but depending on the market your payment may not be as fixed as others. Insurance and property tax increases shouldn't rise at the same rate as your income generally, but if you don't see income growth in your immediate future and it's already tight, just keep in mind that insurance and taxes might not let your payment stay as fixed as you hope.
What house prices are coming in around 6k / mo? Obviously location specific just looking for ball parks
950k-1M
That seems reasonable tbh
I’m paying $20k/month for mortgages on 700k HHI, 10K of that goes to my primary.
A man of the people!!
