If you’re on the bench and having a hard time getting staffed, people are probably interested because of your experience, but say hell no when they see your LCR. I just did that for a Level 8 with an LCR almost as high as my Level 6. So, yeah, I’d be worried...
MBA hires start at L9. By the way, the C&M track doesn’t use L8 (you go from consultant L9 to Manager L7). $150k for L9 is top of the salary band but definitely not impossible. Many MBA hires (L9) get $145-150k base
150k $ or pesos?
Technically MBA hires are level 8s. If a level 9 is making $150K, I'll eat my shirt.
I’ve heard of higher earning level 9’s. You’re not special.
2 years ago MYC Acn strategy M1 is 160k. Which is the promotion one year after MBA. So 150K in a tier two city as MBA hire seems high but not impossible
OP I meant proof of eating shirt.
It's market driven. Other firms pay 150ish so we have to keep up to remain competitive.
LOL
Nice troll post...
Sit down, overpaid MBA hire.
Nah this seems cray. I’m a level 9 promote at 100K in Strategy tier 1 city (we don’t count tiers). We got the same starting as last years level 9 promotes
Can you walk me through how you're making that much as an L9? Are you an experienced hire or have you been at L9 for 4 years or what...? I thought all MBA hires were pegged as L8s
No insight yet on how an L9 is making $150K
@A5, new L9 promotes (2-3 yrs exp) typically make way less than L9 MBA hires
I'm a L9 strategy MBA that makes 150
OP do you know your LCR? If it’s around 150, then your cost to a project is significant higher than your peers and it might be tough to get staffed. When interview make sure to sell interviewer on all the “extras” you bring to the table.
This is why I struggle with ACNs policy in paying MBA consultants so much more. I get that an MBA holds value, so I'm not saying a new consultant should get bumped up to $150K (or whatever the new MBA hire salary is). But there should be more accelerated salary growth at the consultant level to even it out a bit. A 3rd year consultant and a new MBA hire with no consulting experience (except maybe an internship) are surely equal in value right?
Serious question folks. Keep hearing things about LCR
Eat it. I am an MBA Level 9. Send proof.
