That’s what consultants make at Deloitte, just as a reference
She’s correct. We use a cohort model and you cannot negotiate the base for each cohort. What you should try to negotiate is for is a bump in cohort to SA3. That may boost you to like 102, but not much higher than that.
Thank you, appreciate your response.
Agreed, they won’t negotiate salary with you. Also doesn’t seem like a great offer with 9 years of experience as a BA. You should push to come in as a manager if possible
Disagree. Do you have consulting experience? Trying to push for manager level responsibility without experience leading consulting engagements doesn’t make sense.
Columbus or Columbia?
Columbus, Ohio
I've definitely seen this firm short change people based on YOE. Seen people brought in as a manager with 15 YOE
What is your 9 YOE in?
Are these BA roles in leadership type positions? Trying to figure out why they gave you SA and not Manager. Additionally, is this in their Acceleration Center? Or your lack of “consulting experience” That might explain it?
It depends on the details of course- I don’t know exactly what a senior associate is at pwc- but based on senior in the title and 9 yoe, it seems somewhat low
Not all experience is equal. Solely depends if OP's previous stints add more to the role. For example, when I came to big 4 previously I had 9 years exp and still was put in as a senior because I lacked client facing exp. Got promoted after 1 year
We have cohorts and the pay is non negotiable for each cohort. But you can negotiate level and cohort which determine pay. E.g. SA2A
Trying to get manager title without having experience in actually leading a consulting engagement is foolish. You’d be setting yourself up to fail once you’re actually in the role
