Is big 4 FDD hiring?
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

I got DA(atleast my CC told me), if you are expecting promotion and they can't give it due to obvious budget problems, then they will give you DA(or maybe they will tell you got DA)
DA has been around for a couple years. You need to meet a really high bar to get it, you are also not told that you actually got it. Your bonus will be higher than normal high achievement bonus. Reading between the lines, I don't think they advertise DA because people get really competitive or have hurt feelings when they don't get this rating. If you are a CC, the training talks about this.
I recently was in my first talent discussion. They target DA for about 10% of employees per level. There was one candidate for it in my discussion, someone not ready for promotion but had been asked to go far and beyond their level due to circumstance where manager had left the firm, turnover at the client, etc and had handled it well. Person was recommended for it, but CC has to confirm with client MD if they agree resource deserves it. So it's not easy to get it , have to really do something notable that Sr leaders on the account notice
How does one get distinctive achievement???
This is the problem though, I feel like it's much more difficult now for your cc to gauge your efforts without a clear rating coming out from your project. Also what good are plus 1's if they aren't in the interest of your practice but are of interest to the overall firm, like running an ERG or something. Really not feeling performance achievement. The fact that I'm staffed all year running a project myself is almost a negative cuz I can't work to grow the practice or do BD.
Heard bonus % is higher. Prob a vocal line item on next year's review too
Does it set you apart from your peers? If so more $$$
It's something your CC or that person's peers recommend you for during performance discussions based on what you accomplished relative to your peers. Its the top nth % of performers.
Is this new this year or was this there last year. I feel like I'm just hearing about this. Also is this set forth from your supervisor on your project or no?
No idea about last year. Don't think your supervisor has anything to do with it. "Ratings" and "Laddering" is a bad word under the new system but this is the equivalent. It's the highest rating based on a culmination of your achievements, role(s) and plus 1s
A4. I completely agree. I was told that almost everyone has strong client contribution, but people and practice is where people stand out....how does that make sense? Don't you want your resources to be delivering strong work for your clients? At as high of a level as they can deliver.... it's all a game I guess
I know multiple people who got DA last year and were told by their CC's that they got it
How can you ask your cc to recommend you for DA?
You can just ask them if they are considering you for it during cc sessions.
A8 thanks, did their CC just openly say they're not ready for promo or did they not have the MAL? Wouldn't you want your high performers to go to the next level if they are eligible?
Not specific to A8, but in general, CC needs to determine if promotion is appropriate through conversations with project team. Some people are not ready for promotion even if they are performing well at level. Next level could involve skills like client management that a well performing Consultant might not have in first two years in the role (for example). Don't want to put someone in a new role they aren't ready for.
A10 , A5 is correct. And in this case the person was first year consultant so not eligible anyways. You are technically eligible after 2 years, but need to be a rockstar , more typical is 3 years at consultant level. Personally I was 4 due to lack of promotion slots. Soany factors go into it
