I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

This is a good video on how to show your value. Of course, there is work involved but you've been there for far too long to be afraid to speak up. Do you know who absolutely doesn't get raises? Those who don't ask. I'm going to bet you have more negotiating power than you think. I prefer this career coach but there are many others out there who also have videos with tips. This is just a place to start.

I worked at a nonprofit where during the interview, it was actually clearly stated that it had been 7 years since the last increase so don't expect one. I chose to ask for raises anyways. I've used reasoning of additional duties, going market rate, getting a degree, and more. Over my 8 years, I received 8 increases. Others on the admin team wouldn't ask and were always so angry that they didn't get an increase. It doesn't hurt to provide a well thought out proposal with hard facts on why it's merited. Worse case, they say no and you let it go for a while. Best case you get what you ask for.
