Be encouraged and know that another job will come. Work hard to get a job, get your resume done, make sure it’s polished very well. And apply like crazy and network.

Great point! I think we can all relate to applying like crazy.
Apply for unemployment asap. Take time to gather your thoughts before applying for roles. Set a target number of applications per week and get a refer for each application, to the extent you can. Big picture, work on separating yourself emotionally from your job/employer (past, present, future). Layoffs are part of corporate life unfortunately and they are easier to manage if you aren’t emotionally attached to your job.
Absolutely, i was layed off from my job last year and the experience was new to me and extremely humbling but i told myself to apply to a certain amount of places each week but not overwhelm myself bc adding stress to an already stressful situation only hurts more than helps
It's depressing and a major drag, but apply for unemployment as soon as possible. That money will be extremely helpful, and depending on what state you live in, it might be complicated or take a while to get it moving. And, of course, get into a thrifty mode of living. You'll find a new job, but you don't know when, and a penny saved is a penny earned, to quote Poor Richard's Almanac.

That's great advice! I was surprised how long it take for my own unemployment to get approved so I totally agree!
