I've traveled extensively and I'm always happy to come home to the US. I would love to stay in my hometown forever.

The US’s most attractive proposition is $, but if you don’t need or want that, the US ranks somewhere in the middle - not a bad place, but there are many far better places
I’m in NJ and love it here, but wish it was less expensive. I just traveled to northern Italy for a week and loved it, but couldn’t live there permanently.

I’m not sure I want to live in a foreign country. The US offers an unparalleled standard of living. Take Denmark - one of the world’s most wealthy countries. It has a great standard of living. But then factor in the car tax (180% on top of a 25% VAT), plus high housing expenses, property taxes, and income taxes. You go to a restaurant or buy something and pay 25% tax. It’s a well-functioning country, one of my favorites, but is it worth it? The US is easy, and if I get bored I can leave my suburban home and hop on a plane.
