Alright, what on earth do you do when you have looked everywhere in your area for a job and every remote job for months on end hoping that the beginning of January would change things and literally nothing new is posted? I have never come across this before where I've applied for every open position I'm qualified and have nothing left. I guess I was magically hoping that today more would come in and I see nothing. Should I start looking at lower positions??

Maybe it’s not what you’ve applied for. It could be the way you have your résumé set up. You need to make sure your resume matches some of the things that are in the job description that you’re applying for.

like

Also, don’t over share on your résumé. Leave things open to them asking questions. what kind of job have you done in the past? And I can give you an example of what to say.

I would suggest relocating. I found my self in the same position as you. I have an second round interview for another admin position that’s in a city 2 hours away. Sometimes the move is inevitable

Start applying for jobs that you don't think you are qualified for. Applying for jobs that you already fit 100% of the description already means that job will not provide you any growth and likely you'll want more growth quickly :)

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Additional Posts in Healthcare Administrators/Healthcare Leadership

I have a new employee that started last Monday, unfortunately it’s not going to work out. Long story, but we’re fairly certain the individual is using Meth and appears to have started/restarted fairly recently. I work with physicians, so it’s a consensus. We have to terminate employment, but what ethical obligation do we have? Two young children at home and no spouse. This is weighing heavily on us.

I’m an application analyst in the midwest for a small CAH. I was hired into this position at $27.15/hr and have now worked here for a year. I am currently seeking a role in Healthcare Policy Leadership in the DC Market, my experience has been in in the intersection of Healthcare & Social Services in both the Private and NonProfit sector. I have a BA in Forensic Psych, an MPA, an MPhil in Public Policy and currently in the last leg of my PH.D in Public Policy with a specialization in Health Policy.

I would appreciate any advice anyone could give that might point me in the direction of any open roles.

Working in a large health system as a quality professional WFH. I rarely see anyone else on my team, and when I do present findings I see no changes happening. Maybe they’re happening and I just don’t have a role in that oversight but the motivation to keep going is whittling down to nothing.
