Seriously I’m barely keeping it together and I’m supposed to sit here and pretend like I’m not? What’s the point if I’m being told there’s no chance of a promotion or a pay raise?
Right— and it’s not just moms. Plenty of mental health struggles all around for so many this year.
I was very honest in my goals this year and basically said I want to maintain my level of work and client service. Now is not the time for a stretch goal and people aren’t getting promoted anyway.
I really like that idea.
Not the only one. My goals this year are basically 1) Survive 2) Don’t astronomically screw anything up. I’m struggling to even give 360 feedback for others, because it feels wrong to do reviews right now.

Absolutely agree. It’s unfair to use existing performance standards to evaluate performance under unprecedented conditions.
Best of luck with the home schooling. Remember, you’re doing your best, your kids are doing their best, and common core is a joke we can all cry about.
We did this at our agency unless someone was severely falling behind. I still have to give 1. But the issues existed prepandemic.
