American EXP taking a Delta flight for the first time in my life. Being a nobody sucks.

Delta is a fairly good carrier. Operational performance trounces AA.

like

I live in Dallas. AA is my only option.

like

Yeah. You're kind of stuck. I usually try to maintain lowest tier status on a second carrier. Delta is my primary, but AA secondary. Your situation suggests shooting for DL Silver might make sense.

like

Yea... On a project in Seattle right now though so I'm trying to take advantage of the mileage to keep EXP. Delta actually has a very good status match though.

Alaska Air gives the EXACT same points toward AA status and the Dallas to SeaTac flight is predominantly vacationers so you will almost always get first class. Figure out the status match, ive forgotten. But it works. Nice to be in first class every week! And still build your EXP on AA for next year

Yeah, OP there should be enough flights from DFW to SEA to keep you on AA metal

Living in Van. Previously lived in Toronto. Obviously rent prices are high as is cost of living. Generally go out and spend more often living in a city. Boyfriend and I on good salary but not saving much due to the above. Before we move home to our own country, we’d love to spend a year close to Vancouver where rent is cheaper, temptation is less, to save. A commute to Vancouver 1-2 times a month needs to be possible (his job). That can be a flight if it’s not crazy. Thoughts? Recommendations?

Do you continue to see in-flight interview processes through once you’ve received and accepted an offer? It feels premature to cut the chord on the others, but also the decision between the companies becomes harder. Also afraid of the possibility to go back on the acceptance of the one role in favor of another.

I'm a Bernie supporter who got invited here because I debate in a reasonable manner. I was reading some reasonable posts talking about how ridiculous it is to call Republicans racist all the time.
On the left it is frustrating because there is a president who says racists things (from mex are rapists to there are fine people in Charlottesville etc...) and enjoys 80% GOP support.
We clearly agree racism is bad - how can we work together to resolve it? Where does it break down?

Hello everyone!
I recently found out that I was being paid less than everyone in the team (more than 25% gap to more expe teammates, around 15% less than new hires)
We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).
Things to consider:
On a work visa
Non-white
Non-male
What would you recommend doing?
Keeping it to myself?
Speaking up? How? With who?

-TIA
