Tata Consultancy Infosys Cognizant Wipro I have completed all the technical and HR rounds and salary discussion, documents submission also done. But all of sudden got mail from hr saying that my profile is kept on hold. Any possibility that I will receive offer letter or it will be in hold forever? Meantime can I attend interview for other positions in hcl?
Craziest offsite ever. Go.

Relocating from Ohio to CA and they are only offering you 10% increase... And san Fran of all, cities in .ca. That's a terrible relocation package OP. Ask for 40 to 50%
Whatever they give you, you’ll still have to adjust to being lower middle income at best in SF. And don’t get me started on the issues with homeless people / freaks and drugs
Don't do it. SF sucks
10% would possibly only cover state tax increase from OH to CA
The worst
In my experience rarely do companies match the cost of living increase from those calculators and and it’s a relatively marginal increase when moving to areas like the bay.
50% more if you live in Chicago. 80% if you live in Minneapolis.

In that case, double.
I think the salary increases do not work inline with COL indices published on the web.
When I moved, I got nothing because I asked. If they ask you to move, a COL calculation is generally done. That said SF is crazy expensive
Unless you have some deep desire to move to the area or foresee a positive professional outcome from the move it doesn’t seem like it would be worth what is realistically a significant pay cut.
More like Cincinnati :)
Woof, 10% as a COL for that move? That not really reasonable.
I have not heard almost anything positive about SF except the weather and vast number of other opportunities in the area. It’s very hard to accept this offer
Depends on what you're at salary wise. Its definitely a pay cut at only 10% though when you factor in taxes and housing costs. Ask for 20-30% to account for that
This will bring me to low low 200s. My housing cost will increase at least by 50%. I really was expecting 20-30% vs 10%.
I turned down an offer at 225k base in SF because I didn’t want to decrease my quality of life.
OP- low 200s aint good enough for bay area?
You want about $400k for 2 people to live comfortably in SF. With that being said SF is a great place to live. Great weather, great people, amazing restaurants, so much to do, and no winter. If you want to ski you drive to amazing snow in lake Tahoe. Great sports teams too and everyone worked hard here. It's a good move for sure!
With a family of 4?
