You can say the role is a great fit, but the compensation is slightly off from expectations and ask what options exist to close that difference.

Honestly, in today's economy $6K after tax is like $20 a pay check (including deductions).
Now if you had an agreed salary target, then it's an easier conversation. If not, reach out to the recruiter, tell them that you are thrilled, but the salary you shared was X, and you want to know if there is an opportunity to close the gap. Don't be pushy, be polite, get to the point, don't make it sound like you'll walk away over this.
You should negotiate. Never accept the first offer. Always try and negotiate
