Yea if you ever go to another country you will literally taste the difference in the food. ANd here it is so expensive to eat healthy whereas you go to Europe and the freshest produce is extremely cheap.
Having grew up in Europe and then spent the latter part of my adolescence here, it was always weird how it seemed americans even at a younger age were just *heftier* than everyone else. Used to make jokes when I visited home that you saw an American before you heard them, and the older I get the more truth that holds.
If we can see reform on what preservatives and additives are allowed in food, I’m all for it- even if it’s a bit of a chopping block.
God knows an agency where massive amounts of higher-ups exit to Big Pharma roles has something or another systemically wrong with it- don’t quite like the idea that the people auditing these companies are lowkey hoping to get a job at them later. Bad conflict of interest.
