We get annual bonuses for annual performance and it’s paid out in Q1. It’s not a Christmas bonus. Not everyone celebrates Christmas. I prefer the Q1 bonus so that I can hit the payroll tax cap faster in the year and get the additional bump in my paychecks for second half.
My bonuses have been $65k+ these past few years.

My bonus is 100%+ of my base and I wish they could just pay it all in salary instead...
I thought my bonuses would be great in consulting. I was severely mistaken. My best bonus in consulting was maybe 13k. My first year exiting to industry, it was 66k. It has never been less than 40k (when I got exactly my target the year I had a baby/ was out on maternity leave). They still exist out there, but can be hard to find! Wishing you many Christmas bonuses to come 🎄

80k last year. Should be about the same this year.
I would find it egregious if I randomly didn't get it.
I don't think i know a single person who doesn't get a significant bonus
If you’re willing to DM, which part of JPM? I’m in conversation with some parts, but would love insider insight
I’ve never had a bonus less than 50% my base. Wild how different things can be yet we live in the same time and places
didnt realize ‘quant’ is so loaded
Used to get around $3K (5 years in role), the year new manager said I didn’t deserve a bonus I was out by Feb
Ive gotten 100k bonuses…
This is an interesting thread. People’s experiences are very different. Most manager+ levels in corporate are getting good bonuses or stock options…
At MS lower level employees get $1000 or so year end bonuses
Lowest bonus. 35 years ago I worked at a grocery store. We got a free turkey.
Biggest, three years ago we were in the throws of being acquired and the company was throwing performance and retention at a few people. That was quite literally insane. My bonuses exceeded my salary. Wife, kids, and myself took a trip to New Zealand.
Right now I’m at 45% of base. This year the company calculus was 127%. So I’m coming in a shade over $110k.
So, I know this story turned out to be fake but I love the idea of employees gathering together to resign after being denied a bonus https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/new-york-ceo-lamborghini/
