Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

It occurs to me that I've seen people be stingy with giving out personal contact information. They'll provide an email and nothing else. I can understand why, there are so many scammers operating today and once your cell number gets out there it can lead to a lot of annoyance. We've got all these great communication systems, but bad characters mean we can't use them freely.

I'm old enough to remember the days of receiving an annual delivery of a phone book that included names, phone numbers and home addresses of everyone in my community. I certainly don't want to go back to those days, but I do find the scammer argument to a bit light. I receive at most a handful of scam calls per year and they are all from political callers. I hit the report as spam button on my phone and block the caller.
Maybe I'm just not as popular as the younger folks I'm recruiting :)
There is an uptick in scam supposably recruiters.

There has also been an uptick in scams, supposedly from job seekers. My interpretation is that this is nothing more than a reflection of the world today, two parties standing on opposite sides of the same fence pointing fingers at the other's grass.
Probably trying to keep their information out of spam systems. You submit one résumé and then get constant spam calls and messages. However, it does raise the question of how we’re supposed to get in touch with you. Not sure what the answer is and would like to hear how others are approaching this. Also, how to filter out the bots on our side.
Must be doing something right! I’ll get spam calls 4-5 times a day, some weeks! Good point that most information is already out there anyway. Just have to be careful not to re-engage and be back on top of the pile for spam calls, I suppose.
Does your ATS require contact information? Ours does...

Good call out, in reviewing my original post it's clear that I didn't fully articulate the source.
If someone applies to a role, our ATS does require both email and phone. It doesn't have to be on their resume, but they have to manually enter it if isn't.
However, I connect with a significant number of candidates through networking, direct sourcing, and candidates who reach out to me directly without applying. It's in those specific cases where I'm seeing this behavior.
