I like the TSi3 it’s a better option for me since it’s more forgiving than an DI, but I can hit absolute stingers with it or a nice high and long one. I’m a 4 HC for reference.

Compared to most other woods/hybrids, titleist stuff has less offset (meaning it’s more open) than other brands on average. Now there is a difference in more game improve lines vs the player lines but it’s just in general.
What situations are you looking to use the driving iron in? Windy days to play a stinger, fairway finder when the driver isn’t working, etc. I have a Taylor Made P790 UDI 2 iron that is much easier to hit than you’d think. The only problem I have with it is the looks I get from some people for carrying a 2 iron hahaha. If you pull that out of the bag, you better hit it well or you’ll hear about it from your buddies.
Some combo of tight tee shot (especially with fairway bunkers / narrower landing area for driver/wood), shorter hole, more wind. I currently hit 4 iron /hybrid on a couple holes on the courses that I frequent.
Great to hear about your experience with a 2 iron. Could I ask what your handicap is? Luckily the guys who are better than me aren’t as big on chirping me for mishits, and the rest of my buddies are hacks 😂
I’ve borrowed my friends’ driving irons before and was surprised at the fact that I mostly hit them solid, albeit small sample size. Just focused on not changing my swing despite perceived difficulty of using the club.
I mentioned in another reply the fun factor: I can’t wait to hit it at the range. Actually came up with the idea from watching a Gary Woodland stinger video on yourube.
Mizuno's hitogami 1 iron is very easy to hit
1 iron sounds like an absolute flex
Bought my u510 at pga superstore. They usually have them there
Just copped a 2 iron after seeing the responses + chatting with a couple sticks who game one. Arriving tmr!!
Forget it until you are a Category One golfer. Your scratch mates can do it, but a 10-HCP can’t. Practice your short game instead. #DavePeltzShortGameBible. (I’m a 10 HCP)
I have honestly never hit as well with a driving iron as a standard driver. I guess the question is why you want it? Are you lacking precision on your drives or have a gap in distance you aren’t comfortable hitting with your driver/woods?
Honestly, mostly because it’s so fun hitting one solid + inspiration from some playing partners (way better than me) who game them.
I also think that there’s a few holes on each of the courses I frequent where a driving iron would make sense (anything longer brings more trouble into play).
Also, My driving has been pretty solid the whole season but some rounds it is erratic, so I could pull the driving iron out on those days

I have a Titleist 712U three iron and two iron. If I need 220-225 off the tee, the three iron is the best, most accurate club i’ve ever hit for that purpose. It’s not as useful in the fairway. I was a scratch when I rode the pine on my D1 golf team and I was probably a solid 4-7 when i started using that club 7-8 years ago right as my wife and I started having kids. It’s still in the bag, it still feels like butter and inspires confidence for any tough t-shot. But i’m probably not good enough to carry it now.
I also still play Hogan blades, so maybe i’m a glutton for punishment and stupidity

Oh to be fair, in college 25 years ago I think I played Ping Eye 2s or Titleist DCIs. The blades were like a 2016 purchase. Love my Hogan Ft Worths
I just hit driver off the deck if I need less distance, low, and accurate
If you’re a higher ball hitter, should be fine with a 2i. Otherwise I would go with a hybrid. Mizuno makes good driving irons IMO
