I have three shops! :)
One sells craft supplies, the other themed handpainted ornaments and the other planner stickers! Doing fairly well. Just can’t set it and forget have to keep improving.
I own a vintage toy shop that started as just trying to help my parents downsize their attic. 2022 I was posting new stuff constantly and sold so much that I ended up starting to source more items from thrifting. It’s a fun little business.
This year I just don’t have the time on top of my FTE role so my sales have slowed so it just depends how much effort you want to put into it.
F, been wanting to open a Etsy shop for a while
I’d recommend you ask for specifics from these commenters in terms of what their actual revenue is from etsy. I’ve helped a couple of clients jumpstart their Etsy businesses. Those clients were targeting about $20k in annual revenue from etsy, and that’s a pretty successful etsy shop.
Whatever you plan to sell, do some etsy searches for that product to see how saturated the market is. Etsy provides a lot of useful tools for shop owners, which is nice. Make sure you use everything at your disposal!
I own a shop selling mostly Daria and Sims merch. Not very profitable so far.
Do you all sell single unique bespoke items or mass produce things to sell?
