My current CTC is very low, 4.77lpa. Got 10% for September cycle.
1) when is the annual appraisal cycle, when we will get the hike letter? Approx hike %
2) will we get additional hike for sub-level change from 12.2 -> 12.1?

What's the timelimit for accepting the offer letter from EY GDS?

I have an associates in Accounting have an 8+ year background in accounts payable and am about to receive my Bachelor's in August for Business Management and Economics with a concentration in entrepreneurship. Hi fishes, What will be the in hand salary for 22 lpa fixed and 0 variables? With 80 C covered and HRA 1.8 LPA declared.

How is partnership pay determined across service lines? Do partners in consulting get more units than let’s say audit ?

I have 9 years of experience and working in EY GDS with a fixed salary of 35lpa. I have received an offer from EY UK and they have offered 65k pounds. I know it’s less but please let me know if that’s okay given the fact that my wife has an offer of 50k pounds.

How are you able to make time for interviews when working in a demanding consulting project?

How comfortable/confident do you feel in the job descriptions you’re applying for? Something like partnerships/sales operations/etc where you might have complementary skills from consulting but not direct experience in that role? Feel like nothing fits my experiences perfectly

Starting a new job next week (unlimited PTO), and just had some plans for the summer get finalized (family vacation and two weddings). It’s about 2 weeks in total - one extending July 4 week, an extended weekend in late Aug, and a week in October. Do I email my manager about all this now, or wait until next week once I’ve started?? The plans just got finalized today, and I accepted the offer a month ago.

On my W2 federal wages are the same as NY state wages, how do I track down my New York w2 wages without access to my detailed timesheets? Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. If most product manager jobs (not straight out of college) require 2-3 years of Pm experience, how do you ever get that experience without working in PM? 🧐

I can't help but notice that the most touted exit opps mentioned here are all 'G&A' positions - S&O, CorpDev, Strat, etc. Aren't these positions the first in line to go come layoff time? Prod Management seems like it would be more insulated from layoff pressure (so long as your P&L is in the black) though even that could come under budgetary pressure.

What would be an example of 'layoff-proof' exit opp?
