I have 17 years of experience and have an offer from EY GDS for role "Senior Managing Consultant" (Rank 32) under Technology Consulting.

Most of my experience is with Solution/Technical Architecture in the Telecom, Media and Energy & Utilities domain.

Young solo here w/ a question about fees: 1. A local solo criminal defense attorney has offered to pay me to go and make appearances before the Court on some of her cases to make announcements. (For example, “ready when reached”). I’m open to doing this and this attorney is asking what my fee would be? Does anyone here suffer from bipolar disorder? How do you manage it and working in law? I see a therapist, and a psychiatrist, and am on medication, but I still have days where I wake up and I’m so depressed I can’t move. I’m working on remedying this with my doctors, but how does one approach mental health issues with their employer? I never felt the need to until I realized how much being bipolar can affect my ability to work.

I’m at a mid size transactional firm. I’m a total night owl and my partners have OK’d me starting the workday at around 11am because I regularly work until midnight or later. I get so much more done after dark! I still get some side eye from other associates, but 🤷🏽‍♀️

2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs. I’m wondering what is the best way to approach the topic of getting on the full salary/hours. Do I wait until the bonuses are given at the end of my first year? Or bring it up at mid-year review? I won’t have any problem meeting my hourly so I’m starting to think I’m being underpaid. I’ve been reading on here that not meeting

Procedural question. I represent a hospital. Codefendant is a company that manufactures breast implants. Case was venued in NY state Supreme Court. Manufacturer defendant transferred case to MDL (we hadn’t answered yet). Plaintiff gave me stip of discontinuance with prejudice but now since case was removed I am unsure how to proceed. Do I file the stip in state court still? Does MDL have jurisdiction over the hospital? Can a hospital even be part of a MDL lawsuit? Very confused! Thank you!!!
