It seems that management doesn’t always understand that employee engagement is tied to many things such as work/life balance, benefits, workload, etc. Any ideas on how to present this type of info to management? We have already done an engagement survey and delivered results but there is lack of action planning which is also not heavily backed up by leadership. Any ideas on how to deliver this message so it makes an impact?
I’m planning to buy the study materials for the SHRM-CP certificate through Amazon. What are the best ones to obtain?
What does Sales Enablement mean to you? Does anyone here work in some type of Sales Enablement roll currently?
I recently moved to a new company. As I get access to all the systems, I noticed that I have access to HR function (peers, managers) data within the HRIS system and other sources. I am not planning to look at the data but I'm concerned that peers can see my compensation, etc., if I can see theirs. At the company I came from, HR data was extremely safeguarded and restrictive within our systems. Is this something I should bring up to my manager?
What are your tips and tricks, go-to sites, etc. to stay up to date on the latest HR legal and compliance information?
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
What HR ticketing system do you use and what important aspects did you consider when looking? Our company is looking into ticketing systems and this will be our first time looking. Right now I’ve seen Zendesk, Workday and Happy Fox. Has anyone sued those before?
Would my bosses let me move to work in a different state? I work as an internal consultant within KPMG, working for the firm within the internal HR team. I have been with KPMG for 5 months but I am wanting to move back home to be with my family - on the other side of the country. There’s only a 2 hour Timezone difference and I’d make sure to work on current time. My line manager I report to lives in another state to me anyway - and it seems to work well for her. Am I pushing my luck to ask?
Does anyone have any recommendations for a years of service awards vendor? We are looking to move to an online catalog where our employees can pick the gift they want. Thanks in advance!

Actively seeking a new opportunity and I am slowly starting to feel discouraged due to lack of response. Anyone else having issues searching for employment right now?
Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
How many of you have actually read the entire handbook? How long was it? What was the hardest or easiest part of the handbook for you?
I’m curious if anyone knows of any NY or NYC laws around requirements for an employer to employ a certain percentage of underrepresented minority groups? Would greatly appreciate any guidance here!
With us still living in a remote environment and employee appreciation month coming up on October - interested in what you are thinking of doing? Always harder when we can’t all physically be together. Many thanks
If firms go exclusively remote, I have zero reason to remain living near “home office”. Likelihood we’ll shift to that model, and can live wherever?
On a reinvest project that was ramped up unexpectedly (when I signed up we discussed time expectations clearly) and now I'm working till the AMs & weekends -- what can I say to my reinvest manager to push back? When I raised a concern he said "let's just do everything we can". Any advice appreciated
Being cut out of a project that I sourced by a partner’s favorite Director. Some team members are not confident in Director’s ability to execute, neither am I. To talk to partner or let Director fail?
Got married 3 months ago. Today wife and I had a fight, she started hittinge physically, scratches on arm, blood nose... In the end she said she was pregnant and just had a miscarriage (cont for twist
Got asked by my client (senior exec at a bank) if I am pregnant! Don’t know if I should feel happy that they could ask me a personal question or if I should feel bad for putting on so much weight!!🙈
In regards to SS, when a client has a family history of premature deaths, and the client isn’t in tip top shape themselves, do you advise taking the lesser payment sooner?

What is the best way to get into a functional role when most of your experience is technical? I’ve done tons of functional trainings and talked to several partners and my managers but can’t seem to
Laid off from my job after less than 6 months. The reason was budget based, as my firm has been cutting hours for integrated IT audits on non-public entities in order to reduce costs. Any risk assurance roles hiring?
Is there any benefit to admitting to my counselor that I’m considering leaving the firm because the work & travel are ruining my mental health? Even if on another project without travel, I’d quit...
Have to admit-sitting here in my empty classroom on the first day of school closure, I am teary-eyed thinking of my students, as well as my own kids, as well as the craziness out there. Anyone else?
