Any tips on hitting your hydration goals? I seem to get 6-7 cups every day, but almost never hit that 8-10 goal.

I chug 32 oz in the morning before coffee, sip on 32 oz during the workday, and chug 32 oz before bed. Keeping water within arms reach helps me hit my hydration goals.

Break up your goal into achievable milestones. Set an hourly reminder to drink water. I fill a 32 oz water bottle in the morning and it needs to be gone by noon. Refill. That one needs to be gone by 4PM. Refill. Drink another one before bed.

Use a quart jar. Drain it 3–4 times a day. Profit.

PSA - We are headed into a self-imposed economic slow down. Now is not the time to lateral but if you do, I would make sure you are at a recession-proof practice or firm. The top law firms will be okay (they always are) but if you are part of a larger group of associates with no work, you are likely to be axed. Latham did it in the 2008 and 2011 and it will happen again. If you are an associate or really anyone but a rainmaker, you are expendable.

Help me get over my covid anxiety: had plans with a friend but they got exposed to covid. Got a neg rapid test but feel like they have a sore throat and still want to hang. Given rapids don’t necessarily detect omicron plus the symptoms, I’m a bit concerned. I’m WAAAY more cautious than most when it comes to covid (not doing indoor events yet, still masking).
