Diagnosed with ADHD at 40. Tried Vyvanse for a couple of months. It works in terms of depriving grogginess, afternoon post meal crash, and suppressing appetite (at times).

However, I still needed help planning/prioritizing my day,  listening and active note taking, and keeping myself accountable. So decided to replace meds with coffee. Also, the fact that most people on meds had to progressively increase their medication over time did not sit well with me. (cont'd)

I am currently a substation design electrical engineer 1.

I am making $71k a year from a large Consulting firm.

I have a bachelors and masters degree in Electrical Engineering. I have passed the FE & PE exams, I am an EIT, and I have a year of experience outside of school. Three internships as an engineer while I was in school.

I feel like I am underpaid and would like to know the thoughts of others. I feel undervalued in comparison to what other companies over that do the same work.

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.

Employee was terminated once employer learned of her bf being an ex-felon. I know we are an at-will state, but can a claim be filed about this? She had good performance reviews and was getting raises left and right. Since it’s not direct discrimination towards her, it makes things even more weird. Thinking if can’t go through EEOC, then what type of claim can I file in litigation?

I wish Ad salaries were like NBA salaries. Each year you get a ridiculous raise no matter how shitty you perform. If you are good you get bird rights and no layoff clauses. And retire at 35.
