Looking for advice and recommendations on starting a non-profit healthcare case management company in my area. The focus population served would be low-income seniors with the primary customers being primary care offices that could obtain contracted case management services based on the practice’s needs/financial constraints.

I have my MSW & nearing completion of my MBA. I have 11 years experience, 6 in healthcare inpatient&outpatient.

What recommendations do you have on starting this process?

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

In the last two year I’ve gotten more and more into alcohol free beer. The selection in my country (Europe) is still small and mainly driven by the big brands (e.g. Heineken). My idea is to start my own small brewery which only produces alcohol free beer as a bit of a pendant to the booming local craft beer industry. From reading a number of books and listening to a number of podcasts about starting a business, one underlying factor they all share is to have deep passion for what you do. How do you know what your passion is? I mean I think a lot about golf but i don’t think that’s a passion. It’s my hobby. I think most people just know.

Anyone quit consulting to join a well established VC firm? Would like to understand:
1. What level I could come in if I am a M in consulting. Will it be a smart move?
2. How much fund could I be managing per year? Is $500 M unrealistic?
3. Typically, with how many folks could I be splitting the fund? Read somewhere that you get 2% of the fund and you draw salary, office and travel expenses, legal fees and other operational cost out of this 2%

I’m currently an LLC and looking to assemble an equity deal with an advisor. I don’t know how to set it up with him where he gets his equity in the future when we restructure the entity to a c/s Corp and give out his shares. It doesn’t make sense for us to switch now and get double taxed when we haven’t lifted off the ground. This is pre launch. Any advice?
