1. What level I could come in if I am a M in consulting. Will it be a smart move?
2. How much fund could I be managing per year? Is $500 M unrealistic?
3. Typically, with how many folks could I be splitting the fund? Read somewhere that you get 2% of the fund and you draw salary, office and travel expenses, legal fees and other operational cost out of this 2%

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I’m a bit confused about share dilution and if it’s worth it for me to buy some of my stock options… thanks in adv!
