That's 5 month away man. They are filing only absolutely necessary cases.
Mine expires June and is not yet filed.
I am definitely jumping ship after its approved.(hopefully)
I agree with ey3. Canadian immigration is way easier and you can do it on your own.
Canada PR is a straightforward process that you can do yourself. Everything is on CIC’s official website. You get the required marks for Federal Skilled Worker and if the marks are above the cutoff you are invited to apply. And you submit the documents directly on the website. That’s it. I got my PR in less than 4 months and I had to write IELTS. If you are young (less than 30) and have a Masters degree and an educated partner, you should be able to get it in the first round. It is much more difficult dealing with immigration consultants.
Only use consultants if you are using other immigration routes such as investor, entrepreneur etc., Good luck!
Thanks ey5. I submitted along with my wife and got rejected thorough the website, which was confusing. Since the tool said I should clear. Am getting my docs assessed by Wes to check if that's the issue here, since I did not mention that my education was Canadian equivalent

OP yes of course they would file. I was told nobody will be allowed to go out of status.
They are approaching it strategically , like last month some x were filled, all in premium. Based on how those cases went, they do another batch, slowly increasing the number. They say , .they need it to get the hang of USCIS requirements which are very open ended and not clear

They will file and won't let you go out of status.
Talking from recent experience. Mine was expiring mid April and they filed mine in March end. I fought and got it expedited to premium as they were doing normal and I did not want to risk it. I was following up since November last year. It sucks. They file only when the date is near. They do the wait game to see if employee resigns or moves out. They won't start anything until it's very near the end. Luckily for me I got my approval in 10 days without RFE. You getting frustrated and moving out will make them more happy. One less case to focus on. That's what they want and I can see them winning 😁
