Any suggestions on switching job now like is it a good idea with upcoming recession news.
I literally got message from 2-3 companies that recruitment is currently on hold and they are not hiring currently after i cleared 2 rounds of interview and waiting for HR round to complete.

I think I bombed my final round today. Was taken a bit aback with a pure focus on numbers so took a bit of time solving it and in the end interviewer skipped one part of a chart cos she had to move on to other charts. The qualitative case part went well I think. Disappointed in myself!

I just had two of the weirdest interview. I was interviewing for a payroll systems mgmt role and the first guy was a finance mgr and he didn't ask me anything. I basically interviewed him. The 2nd interviewer was the hr systems lead. She had read my resume and was super weirded out that my current role is the same as hers. I think she thought I was interviewing to replace her. She kept asking me what I would be doing. Like dude, do you not know why you are even interviewing me? Hard pass.

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. Made the pivot from Big 4 to Bain and frankly underwhelmed. Seems like Bains Ops capabilities / general knowledge resources / white papers are lagging the industry quite a bit. Miles behind BCG / McKinsey as well. Literally only good for PE and nothing else.

at first i thought we just needed to know the bare basics (e.g. profitability; break-even), but i was just given a discount rate question in a mock and didn't know what to do with it lol

BCG versus McK for digital consulting? If we are looking broadly at the digital transformation space, then what are some of the strengths of each of firm as well as any glaring drawbacks?

Looking at Forrester, they are both leaders in the space, but it would be helpful to understand the perception of each.

Is it easier to go from McK to BCG or Deloitte to BCG? If one is easier, how much easier? And do BCG recruiters ever poach from McK or is that a big no-no?
