Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon
Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Same. I ended up taking a CS job (remote) just to get my foot in the door and have some income coming in after being laid off in 2024. I’m hoping to move after doing my initial time required in the position but it’s getting harder and harder every day. It’s a good pay check but lots of silly nick picking on crap. The more I work for the company the more I am unsure if I want to stay… I’m 54 and have entered my “I am tired of the BS” I’ve been working since I was 15 and am so tired.
I'm in the same boat. Trying to figure out where to pivot to. I plan to retire in 10 years so I'm not sure if I should even pivot.
I am 64 and found myself in a health crisis 10 years ago. Fast forward, I am currently a heart transplant recipient. I have taken freelance work, done hosting positions with restaurant entertainment environments. I have not had recent consistent experience to present lengthy recent history. I dare not utilize previous history as it would be a declaration that I am well past my 40's. I am told by people older and younger than myself that if they don't ask don't tell them my age. But even if I took that approach there is no easy way to present the lack of recent work history.
I am grateful to be alive and healthier than I was 10 years ago,but the current economy is forcing my need to pay medical bills and return to the job market. So I feel everyone's pain.
Been there. Done that. Same age. I have a book in production about how to successfully pivot; not once, not twice, but when it’s good for you. I plan to post here when I’m published in next 6-8 weeks.
I'd love to see the content of this book. I am experiencing this difficulty after a health crisis. I am doing much better health wise now but I have little recent work experience; though I have kept up my writing skills, my use of software apps and my embrace of A.I. use and learning. I just have no idea of how to frame my skills in view of a nearly 10 years absence from the job market. I am currently working on entrepreneurial pursuits that are possibly promising but not currently productive.
I need some direction. If anyone has advice regarding a pivot?
Everyone seems to be in the same boat here (myself included). I've been introduced to multiple people, including one who claims to be able to help you figure out what you want to do, for a fee. Let me know if you are interested and I can give you her info.
I would personally like to find a path for free.
SAME!! Rif'd 2 months ago. Nothing happening yet. Hard to give any Fs. 59.
I have been struggling with my own version of the same things. I started working in a restaurant when I was 17 years old. I just needed a job and my brother worked there, I moved from Busser to Dishwasher and I was kind of pressed into cooking because a guy rage quit. Having never had to even try cooking anything before suddenly I was a grill cook, terrible but learning. Who knew at 57 id stillbe doing this. I'vedoneother things, IT Help Desk, Basic ComputerRepairs, Sales, CDL Delivery, and CNA to name a few. But in a pinch I alwayscouldget a cooks position or Server, I am absolutely over it ready for more than a pivot! 180° im working on Google Certs and making a move to Software Engineering a d Illustration. People say that I'm too old, open a Food Truck or Private Chef, small Catering business. I say,you may be too old,but as long as I have fight in me, im going to fight.
Same
