Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon
Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

I pivoted from sales to compliance, similar comp and it's a world of difference from a quality of life perspective. EOQ can occasionally get a little hectic, though aside from that the pace is much more leisurely if you will. The one relatively big downside is the shift from being a trusted advisor/partner/problem solver/friend, to becoming the one person at your company that customers don't want to deal with in any capacity. This makes for some tense relationships and really tense conversations on occasion, but anyone with a decent amount of emotional intelligence can make the best of it.

None whatsoever, and I came onboard with very limited knowledge of IBM's offerings, though with a foundational understanding of contracts and general licensing concepts. Stuff that most seasoned tech sellers will already know. As an organization we are expected to attend the same sales trainings that our sellers attend, and I see this as an opportunity to broaden my skillset, to perhaps transition into a different role at some point.
Yes, but not too far down. Aside from not wanting to diminish my earning potential too much, it’s been my experience that hiring managers often refuse to interview someone with my general experience level. I encountered this problem 10 years ago pivoting from being an entrepreneur CEO, so I can’t chalk it up entirely to ageism.
