Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

I’m curious why more non-US citizens interested in FIRE don’t go live in a no/low tax jurisdiction even for a few years e.g. Dubai, some Caribbean islands. I get that some people will have family circumstances (e.g. elderly parents to look after) so it won’t be possible for them, but for a significant proportion it will be an option

I’m beyond irritated by one of my coworkers. Just so disorganized, doesn’t show up to meetings, doesn’t reply to emails, constantly have to chase him, miss deadlines because of him. What’s the longest an agency has kept you waiting in reception on your first day of a gig?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

Advice on choosing healthcare as a freelancer? Very new to this world and overwhelmed trying to find the right option. I’m 29, relatively healthy, single and no kids.
