I currently work in Healthcare as a respiratory therapist for 10 years. I have been at my job, currently, for a little over 5 years. Alongside my bachelors degree I also have a masters degree in healthcare administration. Although, I am happy with my current position as a respiratory therapist, there seems to be not a lot career growth with where the department I currently work in within my healthcare system. The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). Friendly reminder folks- don’t work for Havas Health and You. They cut the freelancers hourly rates, again and made it so there’s no OT. The resource manager at HOV said if I couldn’t swing $80 an hour as an HCP copywriter, she’d have to find someone else. Good luck 👍🏻

How often do y’all adjust your rates? I’m fairly new to freelancing but I’m getting a ton of interest. The company I’m with met my rate with no negotiation, which signals I might be selling myself short. Is it uncool to ask for more if they want to extend my contract?
