Hello! Wanted to get advice on if there are any risks or downsides (other than not getting paid) to taking the latest start date a company offered, winter 2023, over the option to start in summer months? I’m going into consulting and accepted the offer, but had a summer/fall opportunity come up that I’d love to do if possible, just not at risk of the other job.
When I was researching salaries about 12 months ago, the range for senior QA (I’m assuming more QE in that you do some automation and CI work) was between 105,000 and 150,000. So your offer does seem to be on the low end of things.
I’ve always worked remote. Personally, I think location should have little impact on salary (but that’s a different discussion). I’m talking salary, not TC.
I got LOTS of lowball offers when I was looking 75,000+ range. But those places either raised their offers or were eliminated from my search early.
