America is so ugly.
Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Fuck that. Peace the fuck out. Agencies and consultancies are hiring like crazy now. Also take your girlfriend out Friday night and tell work your not staying late or working this weekend
👀 Don’t worry about it
Quit. I'm serious. I did recently and it was a good move (have a plan, don't just quit in anger.) If the company thinks they can pile work on you endlessly and you'll just keep doing it, they will. It's a win for them. Don't sacrifice your life for your job.
Practice saying, “I’m sorry, I’m not available to work [tonight/this weekend].” It does wonders. You don’t owe them an explanation for your life after 6:00 PM. They’ll find another resource to help with whatever the current push is, and you’ll feel more rested, balanced, and less resentful, allowing you to do better work during business hours.
I wish dude but I have like $2 in my account 😪
Well that’s definitely a ridiculous schedule that you shouldn’t put up with for too long. That being said, if you marry someone in the industry they’ll at least understand the hours. I’m not saying propose or anything. Just saying my wife gets it and vice versa 😬
I’d ask for help or tell HR you can’t handle anymore work. They’ll back off and understand. Speaking up is a good thing. And one thing to remember, working your life away at an agency that can replace you in a second, it’s not worth it. Remember your health and personal life means a lot more than working long hours
Set a time limit for when you’ve made enough money to breath and then go freelance. Let your partner know how long it’s going to be and why you’re doing it
Then come up with a plan. If you want $2 in your account and to live on a hamster wheel, stay where you are.
So don’t quit but take the girlfriend out for sure. :)
Definitely draw a line. It’s a job, not a life. Treat your girl. Hell, treat yourself!
What agency do you work for?
I just want to know so I’ll never apply for a job where you are. 😛
