Coach
OP what have you heard?
I was there for four+ years and loved it. Was in the commercial litigation section. Left for geography reasons, otherwise I would have made a career there. That said, commercial litigation was the outcast group. Restructuring, M&A, etc. were the sexier groups.
What group
Any - I’ve heard about the firm so I’m just curious

What group, what office?
Group and office are going to be important. At some of the really big firms, it’s going to be a different feel and takeaway depending on where and what group.
I know a couple people over there. Good projects group, appears they are focused on growing M&A. People seem generally nice, also seems very NY focused.
Anyone know if their capital markets group is solid place to be? Do they have a mix of exchange act and securities act work? Client base- do they service financial institutions?
No. I want to make partner at a smaller shop. But want solid firm experience in cap marks for financial services. Current firm does some but not enough for me to say I focused on it.
Thoughts on restructuring group?
Their restructuring group is strong and I believe their most profitable practice on a per lawyer basis, so people move up quickly after making partner in that group.
