Firm didn’t really want to interview me, but decided to speak to me anyway. I have now made it through all the stages of their process, but are other candidates. Chances good for an offer?

How do you know they didn’t really want to interview you? How was the vibe at your interviews and did the last stage go well?

like

Of course they wanted to interview you. If they didnt want to they wouldnt have. They certainly didnt do it to do you a favor!

like

So they basically told you they would have preferred a candidate that looked “better” on paper and you didn’t meet their usual standards, but because nobody else panned out they had to interview you on the chance you might work out? Or were there nepotism/political/other reasons for not wanting to consider you?

Hi Fishes,

I am currently undergoing a recruitment exercise for the role of Senior Principal, Research with the Peers & Practitioners team at Gartner India Research & Advisory Services. My current work exp is 5 years across 2 big 4s and a KPO in India. How much hike should I quote if I clear the interviews here? Presently my CTC is around early INR1000Kp.a. Also are they giving options of a permanent WFH post covid? If not can I work from some other office such as HYD, BLR instead of NCR?

My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)

Hi everyone. I'm pretty early in my career (just over 1 YOE) & not really enjoying my current role as a Consultant/Developer because of the type of projects I get combined with some mobility issues. However, I'm really interested in technical program management or project management and I'm looking for any advice on how to get there bc I've been applying, but can't even seem to get a call back.

Looking for some advice; I've been a paralegal for about 5 years now, and the past year or so has been hard. One firm closed, which dropped me in another firm which was never good for me, and then into another with a culture that was really unhealthy to me. My resume shows a few short stays at firms, and now I'm looking at moving after six months due to issues that turned over the entire paralegal team so far except for me. How do I show employers I'm a dedicated worker after a difficult year?

I have a interview scheduled for Data Scientist job can any one suggest me. I am looking for a career transition to Data Science domain.

I'm holding an offer from MakeMyTrip and another offer from OlaElectric. Ninjacart is willing to make me an offer. But they're saying that they'd discuss the offer only after the other company that I'm interviewing with has come up with an offer first. There's been a delay from HRs of the companies in a similar way. How do I urge them to send me the offer letter without sounding pushy? I had reached out to some of the HRs myself. Would that be too awkward if I accept & back out their offer?

I am now actively looking but how do I explain to other employers why I am actively looking and what do I put on my resume? I have never had to deal with this before.
