Why do you wanna rehome your dog?
Yea you’re welcome 🙄😑
Try Nextdoor
Hi, I care deeply about this and would love to brainstorm with you. Is it a moving situation? Behavioral? Would know how to advise you better with more info, feel free to dm me if you’d like
thank you!
See if there is a breed specific rescue that can help
if you got him through a breeder; most will take back and re-home.
What kind of dog and how old is he?

Since you won’t share details, it’s hard to say. DO NOT JUST GIVE YOUR DOG AWAY. Lots of predators out there. Get a vet reference, do a home check, and monthly updates, at the very LEAST. Contact the shelter you adopted from for help. Call every single rescue in your city. Hire a trusted dog walker. Ask your family or a trusted friend for babysitting help. Hire a positive reinforcement trainer. These are all recommendations based on issues. This is a truly terrible time to ”rehome” your dog, the worst time in years. I work in animal rescue, and we are severely overwhelmed. There isn’t a magical person out there with more time than you. I’m fostering six animals right now, as one person. A pet is a twenty-year commitment; please do not adopt any more animals in the future. If you can’t make a commitment, it’s really simple: just don’t—if you have to have an animal in your life, foster temporarily when you can. That said, ask for help with what you need. Your dog and you deserve to be happy and healthy, and you are responsible for making that happen.
I’ve called every rescue in Los Angeles I could find. I won’t take him back to SPCALA, which is where I got him because it’s a shelter and I feel awful doing that. Our vet says he doesn’t have health problems and refuses to medicate him for anxiety, which I definitely think he has. I can’t do a home check because I can’t find anyone who wants to take him to even check their home in the first place. Our friends all have dogs and or kids and nobody wants the risk of babysitting him. There’s no good time to rehome a dog you love and want to keep, you think I ask this easy peasy and haven’t tried to make it work for six years? People are so judgmental. I’ve had dogs my whole life, I’ve never had a dog this challenging.
Try the SPCA or a not-for-profit.
