I live in uptown, love it. It’s a bit cheaper than south end and more walkable and more going on than noda in my view. I walk a lot of places and have plenty of restaurant options and bars nearby or can easily take the light rail to any of the trendy places. Also easy access to the interstates and a lot of other roads when I want to go out of town or to another area of the city. I also live near a park and a greenway so easy exercise for some green space. I’m a bit older than the age of people that tend to want to live in south end though and I don’t feel the need to go out there often so I don’t regret not living there like many of my coworkers do.

When I originally moved to Charlotte I lived in Uptown before moving to South End a year later. I seriously preferred Uptown. It was close to work, you felt as if you were were already there when sports games or concerts happened and while it isn’t where the best food in Charlotte is located, you had ample options to choose from at any time of day/night.
Uptown is underrated! Easily accessible to noda, south end, and plaza via rail.
Kindred restaurant is also coming to Uptown!
Just look for the sign in uptown
A lot of people live uptown. It’s nice to walk to places.
Close to work..
have friends who do solely because it’s cheaper alternative to southend
I like the location I’m at in uptown. Easy commute to everything
When I first moved to Charlotte I lived in Uptown because I liked the density & walkability.
Where do you live now OP?
Kinda cool compared to other cities tho. My brother has lived here since 1986 and he said when he was in HS, uptown was the place to be, but died after they started building up the other neighborhoods
