Same thing happened to me - and tbh it’s been amazing. I have so much more flexibility and control, and so much less BS to deal with. I’m happy to still have some $$ coming in and most days actually appreciate having a few hours to focus on something else. If you can work out a situation that works for you, it might be worth considering! On the other hand if you want to tell those clowns sayonara, that’s fun, too!
I definitely want to quit and tell the clowns sayonara hahaha - but also want to keep some income as I pivot in new directions ha! Gotta find that balance I suppose
Typically we do that to help ease the transition when people leave so things go a bit more smoothly. I think you likely need more information about exactly how many hours they would need per week, how long they need support after your full time employment ends, what rate they plan to pay you (current hourly rate which assumes insurance benefits etc, or a different rate), etc. Based on your goals of family balance, be as clear as possible with your boundaries. If they lay out parameters that work for you, go for it!!
