Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. A company has made an offer and I wanted to understand if i'm being made a fool.

The monthly compensation is 1,37,500 (16,50,000 yearly) and Variable component (Bonus) is 1,50,000.

However in the offer it says "You shall be paid an annual compensation of Rs. 16,50,000/- per annum Cost to Company."

Which to me sounds like it doesn't consider 1,50,000 to be a part of CTC which is suspicious to me.

How should I deal with this?
