Anyone see that LinkedIn post by the former Covington attorney who was (“allegedly”, but IMO I’d bet this associate wouldn’t risk their reputation making this public if it wasn’t true…) verbally abused and called a racist name by a partner at Covington? Anyone at Covington have any info? Is the partner facing repercussions?

This is going to blow up. His credentials are outstanding. He’s credible and no one can argue with that. Horrible thing to have happened and I’m glad he took it public.

I think he is going through a mental health crisis and I frankly doubt that any of this happened. A new lawyer probably won’t help and I highly, highly doubt that his initial lawyer was secretly working for Covington.

What a sad situation.

I’d be shocked if the partner faces any repercussions. Would be much less surprised if our POS president defends that partner in a “truth” post.

@AA tell me you've never partied in the cote d'azur on a Partner's income without telling me.

The man has doubled, tripled, nay, quadrupled down this morning, and it is fantastic to see. God speed soldier.

I was with him when he first posted. But the new posts (saying he will get Trump to negotiate for him, for instance) betray that something else is going on …

As of 3 hours ago his demand stands at a very reasonable $42 million. $5 million will go to the boxing club that he plans to coach at.

He has also delegated his power of attorney to a current Covington partner. Not sure you can do that!

Sadly it appears the proposal did not go well because Paul referred to his girlfriend and not his newly minted fiancée.

it feels like every survey about working from home is (poorly) designed to answer the useless question "would you rather work from home or from the office." I submit that the set of people who prefers to have only one of those two options, always and forever, is the null set. which means it DOES NOT MATTER because the correct answer is always going to be "make both possible." you're welcome, HR departments everywhere.

How do people focus in the office? I'm a first year and I've been mostly wfh since I started and I'm super productive at home - my setup is comfortable, I rarely get interrupted, and I feel like I can stay really focused in my home office.

Our SAs started today, so the firm is making us come in more often. My office set up is so awkward, screens are too small, and I'm constantly getting interrupted. Not to mention the extra time it took to get ready and commute. How do people do this?
